Alethea DeShawn Lewis

Alethea DeShawn Lewis, of Port Arthur, TX departed this life on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, TX.

She was a resident of Port Arthur, TX for 39 years.

Alethea was a former employee of the Port Arthur Independent School District and HEB Super Store on Hwy. 365.

She was a member of The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Alethea is survived by her parents, Arthur and Agnes Lewis; four children, Marcus Maurice Wright, Jr., three daughters, Akyria Bry’Ann Wright, Amaria DeShawn Lewis and Tiara Wright; two sisters, Andrea Dewan Bailey (Jim), and Natrelle Gabrielle Jack (Nykeisha); two brothers, Arthur Lee Lewis, II (Manya) and Alan Curtis Lewis (Alyssia); grandmother, Anna Mae Rhine-Teno; a special aunt, Charlotte Marie Sherman; three special friends, Aishah Abdullah, Jowan Francis and Marcus Maurice Wright, Sr.; and a host of special cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Procter Street, Port Arthur, TX with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
